We need a miracle… now!

Kody went in for an operation with week.  because of his condition there are a few things on the inside that need to be monitored and occasionally dealt with surgically.  This was one of those operations.  As far as the operation went it all OK and very successful.  While the Drs were doing the operation they recognised that some of Cody’s insides, and keep in mind that he doesn’t have much on the inside to spare,  were deteriorating.  This is not good news to Cody nor to Justin and Kristy.

The deterioration of Cody’s internals means that he is slowly dying from the inside out.  There is the possibility of a transplant but this is probably not available to him.  It is not available in NSW and the Melbourne Hospital that does do this sort of thing only services Victorian patients.  A transplant comes with no guarantees either.  The success rate is not all that promising.

So, we need a miracle… now!

If you are a  praying person please take a few moments to pray for Kody.  Ideally we are asking that his shortened bowel will improve rather than deteriorate and enable Kody to come home.  Next to that some sort of transplant, although there are risks attached to this.  In the end God knows more than we do, so lets leave it up to him.

Pray also for Justin and Kirsty.  They need to have patience and forbearance and, probably above all else, a  strong commitment to each other.  Pray that they will find a  peace that passes all understanding that enables them to face whatever comes.
